SS runs solely on the time and resources donated by the membership. They bring thier experience and training in a number of quite varied skills. Our roster includes fabricators, doctors, police officers, engineers, business people, audio/video engineers, and radio communcations technicians to name a few.

We are able to provide solutions for emergency response personel in most any situation. A few of our resources are:

1. Supporting portable public address systems for large crowds.
2. Operating portable hi intensity lighting systems.
3. Augmenting radio communcations between multiple agencies and volunteer groups.

SS is very grateful to the Duke Energy Foundation for its support. We were awarded a grant from them in 2009 and will apply for a grant for 2010 for repair and replacement of critical harware we use in our operations.
